Motorist fined for not having his (automatic) headlights on

Motorist, Jeetesh Keshaw, alleges that he was fined by a Tshwane Metro police office for not having his headlights switched on.

In the video Keshaw┬áinsists that his headlights are set to automatic – meaning the vehicle decides when it’s necessary for the headlights to switch on, based on feedback from a photoelectric sensor and is activated depending on the surrounding lighting conditions.

Keshaw saidon youtube, “Tshwane Metro police officer has no option but to write out this groundless fine after I did not budge on extortion attempts and said write out the fine so I can have evidence.”

Twitter user @CICArsa had the following to say concerning the legalities of the matter, “pls advise Jeetesh Keshaw that TMPD officer was correct & that video text can be pursued as defamatory”.
