WATCH: Wynberg Boys High School Ablaze

Cape Town – Wynberg Boys High School was ablaze in the early hours of this morning. The fire caused significant damage to classrooms, there were no injuries.

Pupils are asked to stay home on 4 and 5 August whilst the consequent structural damaged is assessed.

Message from the Headmaster

On Thursday 4th August in the early hours of the morning, a fire broke out in one of the academic blocks of Wynberg Boys’ High School. The fire was extinguished and fortunately there were no injuries.

The fire gutted 4 classrooms and an office and a further 4 classrooms below have received extensive water damage. The cause of the fire is being investigated.

Matric EGD & Art Students can come to collect their PAT & Practicals via only the front entrance of the school to work from home.

Until the damage has been assessed, we have asked learners to remain at home for Thursday 4th and Friday 5th August 2016.
